Arbitration is an important part of a Real Estate, Appraiser and Home Inspectors Business.
Clients and customers have been known to complain and litigate, when they can resolve their dispute through an arbitration service. This will benefit the Professional. Arbitration tooks the the entire picture, and formulates a determination, based upon facts and evidence.
What is Arbitration? How does it work? How can I get involved?
Arbitration takes the facts, as perceived by the both the person filing the complaint, and the person who the complaint is filed against. An Arbitrator is assigned, based upon the type of case and the facts are analyzed. If necessary, the arbitrator will contact either/or both parties, and render an decision based upon facts received..
This is not binding, however both parties agree, in their initial paperwork to allow the decision of the arbitration to be submitted to a court, if one party goes forward and sues the other party.
If you are a Member of one of the folowing organizations, this arbitration network is included in your membership as follows: (your only fee is per arbitration)
Housing Inspection Foundation
Association fo Construction Inspectors
National Association of RE Appraisers
NARAMU (National Association of Review Appraisers-Mortgage Underwriters)

As a member your cost to participate, initially is zero.
If a complaint is filed against you to our Arbitration Panel, the complaining party will pay a fee of $ 100.00. This fee is the only cost to the complaining party.
The party who is charged in the complaint will be given the opportunity to file their respose, and the charge to the member is also only $ 100.00.
Both parties are given the opportunity to present evidence and information as to why they believe the compalint is founded or unfounded.
We review the complaint, and render a NON BINDING decision based upon the statements and documents supplied to us by both parties.
The process typically takes 30 days from the date both parties are given the opportunity to respond.
The decision of the Arbitrator is mailed to both parties.
This can be used to settle the case.
This can also be used if litigation occurs. Our findings can be presented to the court.
THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ARBITRATION IS DISPUTE RESOLUTION.
There is no appeal to our arbitration decision, since it is non binding arbitration.
Either party can litigate the enforce this non binding decision.
The court will have the sole discretion as to whether or not they accept our findings or reinvestigate the case. Both parties hold the Arbitration Panel harmless against any and all liability, in order for us to arbitrate fairly without fear of litigation. We are not a party to the action.
